Internal evaluation of MSF-OCB's malaria emergency intervention in Burundi 2010

In early 2010 MSF/OCB responded to an increase of malaria in northern parts of Burundi The objectives of the intervention were: To reduce morbidity and mortality related to malaria in the area of intervention (general) and to ensure that the population in the area of intervention had access to preventive and curative measures against malaria. Questions regarding the timeliness as well as appropriateness of the resources deployed in the emergency response lead to the initiation of an evaluation with focus on the relevance and effectiveness of the MSF response, including the managerial set up.
