Mid-Term Review of MSF-OCG Medical Support to the Field, 2014 - 2017

A set of internal evaluations and reviews done in 2013 and 2014 led to the adoption of a new frame for medical support to the field in MSF operational Centre of Geneva (OCG). The reform responded to an increase in available expertise and medical function on Headquarters (HQ) level, an increase in volume and complexity of medical activities in the field, which ultimately resulted in the blur and often divergent understanding about different roles and responsibilities regarding medical support; to strategic investments to improve medical support in areas like training, innovation, operational research. The new frame defined the roles for the medical and operations department in key areas of medical support, it provided the principles of collaborative work and also led to a partial but important re-structuring of both departments. p.p1 {margin: 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px 0.0px; font: 11.0px Helvetica}
