EVALUATION OF DECENTRALISATION TO AND STRENGTHENING OF PERIPHERAL HEALTH STRUCTURES MSF OCB, Conakry, Guinea (2016)

The evaluation aims to assess the strategies put in place in order to provide further recommendations for implementation of the project in Guinea. The report details four key recommendations, aimed at improving access to HIV care for people living with HIV (PLHIV) in CTA Matam and at the peripheral health structures supported by MSF.

Evaluation of the OCB Kibera Project Handover Process, Kenya (2015)

OCB initiated the Kibera project at a time when there was a lack of access to affordable HIV/TB health care and succeeded in providing HIV drugs in Kenya, against all odds. The initial decision to intervene in Kibera was based on need and while the needs remain massive, OCB is no longer alone in providing HIV and TB treatment, hence the opportunity to handover the responsibilities of the health facilities to the Nairobi County to ensure that the population is not abandoned and that the quality care and treatment is continued.

MSF-OCB Matam Project, Guinea: Evaluation of improving access to care for people with AIDS and /or Tuberculosis (SHORT VERSION)

This evaluation finds project performance to be highly satisfactory and identifies some critical obstacles relating to the continuity of care. The capacity of the local partners to continue with the implementation of the strategic framework for the fight against HIV/ Aids and TB when MSF departs is severely compromised. The report urges MSF to place more emphasis on identifying a feasible partner for handover before engaging as a leader in such contexts.

Ongoing evaluation of the MSF programme Autonomous Republic of Karakalpakstan

MSF-OCA has been addressing a highly relevant issue, TB and DR-TB in Uzbekistan. A steady decrease of the notification and the mortality rates has been indicating a good outcome of the TB DOTS programme. MSF is highly appreciated by the MOH of Uzbekistan as one of the main partners in TB control and the first one who started the diagnosis and treatment of DR-TB. The current model of comprehensive TB care was estimated as the most appropriate approach for this low-income country with high TB/MDR-TB burden. It could be successfully expanded to elsewhere in the region.

Evaluation of the MSF CH TB project in penal sector , Kyrgyzstan - 4th to 8th October 2010

The evaluation analysed MSF intervention strategies of the TB project in the Penal sector of Kyrgyzstan by reviewing relevance, effectiveness and continuity. It assessed current challenges and shortcomings of the intervention in order to recommend new techniques and approaches for the year 2011 and beyond.
