Workshop on Evaluation in MSF

Last week in Vienna, MSF colleagues came together for a 3‑day Evaluation Commissioner Training focused on making evaluation a practical tool for learning, accountability, and better decision‑making. Through interactive sessions and real MSF cases, participants strengthened their ability to commission, manage, and use evaluations in complex humanitarian contexts. The workshop emphasized early framing, ethical practice, and translating findings into concrete action.

Anthropology Forum 28th & 29th January 2026

Our colleague Doris, together with other MSF anthropologists, is involved in both the organisation and the discussions of this exciting gathering of MSF practitioners, social scientists, and experts from academia and civil society. The forum offers a unique space to reflect on MSF practices through an anthropological lens, to share experiences, and to discuss the challenges and opportunities of humanitarian work.

Workshop on Evaluation in MSF

Evaluations are vital for learning, accountability, and improving our work. Yet they are often seen as complex, abstract,
or disconnected from field realities. This 3-day interactive workshop will demystify evaluation and provide participants
with the knowledge, tools, and confidence to make it a practical and useful part of their work.
This is not a training to become an evaluator, it focus on providing you with the understanding on how better use the
evaluative process to improve the quality of your programmes and to learn from them.

Dates: 15-17 April 2026 (3 days, in person)
Location: Vienna, Austria
