Community mobilisation, male inclusion & medical male circumcision in Chiradzulu

This anthropological report informs about the following themes: 

  • HIV/AIDS activities of local stakeholders (district administration, NGOs, communities, support groups) and assess their ability for decentralizing / taking over some parts of MSF’s activities (as information sharing, drug & condom distribution, tracing and peer counselling)
  • the role of the IEC team and report their challenges as well as their potential for enhancing its health promotion activities.
  • reasons for low participation of men in the project and investigate on the male gender role / life situation of men in Chiradzulu society.
  • the situation on male circumcision and the level of knowledge with regards to prevention of HIV infection
