Conception of Kala Azar medicines: an anthropological study of patients’ perception of and experience with Kala Azar and its treatment in Bihar, India

This report provides an analysis of the subjective experience of Kala Azar and its treatments based on an observational seven-week study in Bihar, India. Methods of data collection include qualitative interviews and observations. The analysis of data is inspired by a qualitative content analysis and grounded theory.
