Evaluation of the Postgraduate Diploma in Infectious Diseases run by MSF Academy and Stellenbosch University

The Postgraduate Diploma in Infectious Diseases (PGDip ID) is a blended, tutor-supported and predominantly workplace-based programme offered via a collaboration between the MSF Academy for Healthcare and the Division of Infectious Diseases at Stellenbosch University (SU). It aims to strengthen infectious disease knowledge, the application of learning into practice, and clinical leadership. The programme is open to MSF and non-MSF learners who continue their medical duties whilst studying, with learning strongly based on clinical cases that learners see in their practice. 
This evaluation reviewed the relevance of the programme to learners’ and MSF’s operational needs, programme quality and experience, the impact of the programme on skills development and learners’ careers, and the financial model and value for money offered by the programme
