Response to Ebola, Bundibugyo, Uganda 2008

Lessons learned from the MSF intervention. On November an Ebola outbreak was declared in Uganda on 29th of November. On 30th of November a joint explo visit between the Ministry of Health (MoH) and MSF-CH was carried out. An MSF Intervention took place between 1st of December 2007 and 18th January 2008 (21 days after the last confirmed Ebola patient was admitted in the isolation). This response was a very international one, with support and contributions from four MSF sections. Being regarded as a successful intervention MSF-CH wanted to capture the lessons learned out of this response.
