Depuis 2019, Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) intervient dans la Zone de Santé de Salamabila, une région de la province du Maniema, en République Démocratique du Congo, confrontée à des défis critiques. Le contexte est marqué par une insécurité chronique, une présence humanitaire très limitée et des infrastructures défaillantes, qui accentuent la vulnérabilité des populations. Dans cette zone, les violences sexuelles (VS) constituent un problème de santé publique majeur, exacerbé par la présence de groupes armés et les déplacements de population.

This mid-term evaluation assessed the project’s relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability, generating practical learning to inform adaptation and transition planning for the remainder of the project cycle.

The Couffo project aims to contribute to the reduction of maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality in the Klouékanmé, Toviklin, and Lalo Health Zone. En 2024, le projet TLM d'Agboville est entré dans sa troisième année de mise en œuvre, et une capitalisation des expériences passées a été jugée cruciale pour son développement. L'évaluation analyse la mise en œuvre dans onze établissements de santé soutenus et met en lumière les succès, les défis, les stratégies d'adaptation ainsi que l'ancrage durable de la solution TLM, notamment grâce à son adoption par le MSHP.

After 5 years of implementation, MSF wanted to organize a roundtable discussion to assess the Mbare Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health project’s relevance, effectiveness and future in hindsight, current sight and with foresight. To support this roundtable, the SEU conducted a follow-up exercise three years after an initial evaluation took place.
