Evaluation of the MSF-OCB’s maternal and child health project in Kenema, Sierra Leone

Informing the targeted approaches to transition the project into the public health system

Launched in 2017–2018, MSF’s Kenema project focuses on reducing maternal and under-five mortality and morbidity in the district, while also strengthening the capacity of health workers to deliver high-quality maternal and child healthcare.

This evaluation was conducted to assess the project’s implementation, effectiveness, and plausible impact, with the aim of generating recommendations to guide its progress through the remaining timeline (2024–2029) and inform its exit phase.
