In 2023, a major diphtheria outbreak hit West Africa. As cases surged, MSF established an intersectional coordination platform to streamline its response. To capitalize on this experience, three key interventions in Nigeria and Guinea have been assessed.

After 5 years of implementation, MSF wanted to organize a roundtable discussion to assess the Mbare Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health project’s relevance, effectiveness and future in hindsight, current sight and with foresight. To support this roundtable, the SEU conducted a follow-up exercise three years after an initial evaluation took place.

The evaluation was conducted to assess the project’s implementation, effectiveness, and plausible impact, with the aim of generating recommendations to guide its progress through the remaining timeline (2024–2029) and inform its exit phase.

Initiated in 2011, the Khost Maternal Health Project (KMH) in Afghanistan aims to reduce neonatal and maternal mortality in Khost province by providing Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (CEmONC) services.

This evaluation of the mentorship component of HIV/TB and SRH services decentralisation at the primary healthcare facilities within the Beira HIV project provides insights into its relevance, coherence, effectiveness, impact, and replicability.

Over five years, MSF provided Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for People Who Use Drugs (PWUD) in Kiambu, Kenya.
In 2024, with the project coming to its end, the MSF team wanted to assess how successful the handover process was.

At the request of the authorities and the Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital of
Abakaliki (AE-FUTHA), a team from Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) - Operational Centre Brussels
(OCB) supported AE-FUTHA’s response to the outbreak in Ebonyi State. This emergency intervention
led to an interest in having a longer-term project to continue to support the Lassa fever response and
build institutional capacity for this neglected disease. As a result, a four-year project in Abakaliki
started end of 2018 and was later extended until 2025.

In order to improve the relevance, effectiveness and quality of its interventions, MSF, decided to conduct an
evaluation of the Abakaliki project from its onset until the end of 2022.

déterminer ce qui a fonctionné et quels sont les domaines nécessitant des améliorations.
