La présence et les exactions de groupes armés, étatiques et non étatiques, opérant dans le pays voisin, ont eu des conséquences directes et indirectes sur les populations. L’objectif du projet, depuis son lancement, est de contribuer à la réduction de la morbidité et de la mortalité chez les populations déplacées, retournées, réfugiées et hôtes dans les districts de Mora et de Kolofata.

Dismantling Structural Racism (DSR) is an initiative of the MSF Southern Africa Section Office, formulated after the International Board’s mandate to embark on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives to curb discrimination and racism within MSF.

A 2021 needs assessment revealed critical healthcare gaps for Adolescents and Youth Populations (AYP), aged 10-24, particularly among Adolescent and Young Key and Vulnerable Populations (AYKVP). Mombasa County “Adolescent and Young People Strategy on HIV and Sexual Reproductive Health” strategy, welcomed MSF support for implementation.

The commitment to supporting victims of violence through an holistic and person-centred approach, more comprehensive psychosocial support (PSS) group interventions were developed in 2022 with the objective to enhance community-based activities.

En 2024, le projet TLM d'Agboville est entré dans sa troisième année de mise en œuvre, et une capitalisation des expériences passées a été jugée cruciale pour son développement. L'évaluation analyse la mise en œuvre dans onze établissements de santé soutenus et met en lumière les succès, les défis, les stratégies d'adaptation ainsi que l'ancrage durable de la solution TLM, notamment grâce à son adoption par le MSHP.

The MSF LEAP programme is a fully funded, flexible, post-graduate programme for Médecins Sans Frontières MSF) staff. This evaluation reviewed the impact of LEAP on the professional development of graduates, and on the demographic composition and capabilities of MSF’s leadership.

In 2023, a major diphtheria outbreak hit West Africa. As cases surged, MSF established an intersectional coordination platform to streamline its response. To capitalize on this experience, three key interventions in Nigeria and Guinea have been assessed.

After 5 years of implementation, MSF wanted to organize a roundtable discussion to assess the Mbare Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health project’s relevance, effectiveness and future in hindsight, current sight and with foresight. To support this roundtable, the SEU conducted a follow-up exercise three years after an initial evaluation took place.

The evaluation was conducted to assess the project’s implementation, effectiveness, and plausible impact, with the aim of generating recommendations to guide its progress through the remaining timeline (2024–2029) and inform its exit phase.

Initiated in 2011, the Khost Maternal Health Project (KMH) in Afghanistan aims to reduce neonatal and maternal mortality in Khost province by providing Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric and Neonatal Care (CEmONC) services.
